The 7 days start the day after you sign our buyers agency agreement and end at 11:59pm Sydney time on day 7. If you sign on a Monday, you have until 11:59pm the following Monday. Changing or replacing your agreement during a search doesn’t restart the 7 days.
To use the guarantee, email Peter at peter@australianpropertyexperts.com.au, or anyone in our team you’ve been dealing with, and say you’d like to cancel. An email within the 7 days asking to stop or pause your search also counts as cancelling.
Within 5 business days of your email, we refund everything you’ve paid us for that search, including GST, to the account you paid from.
Your agreement for that search ends on the day you email, and you owe us nothing more for it.
The guarantee ends once a seller and you (or anyone buying with you or for you) have both signed a contract for a property we found, assessed or negotiated for you.
Money you’ve paid to other people, like a building and pest inspector or a conveyancer, isn’t part of the refund.
You, your partner and any company, trust or SMSF you control can get one refund under this guarantee in total. After that, a later agreement doesn’t come with a second 7-day refund. We’ll tell you in writing before you sign it.
If you pause or stop your search after the 7 days without buying, what you’ve paid us stays as a credit. You can use it on a future search with us that you ask us to start or resume within 12 months of the day you pause or stop. The credit isn’t refunded in cash unless the Australian Consumer Law requires it. If you sign a new agreement for the later search and cancel it within its 7 days, the credit stays until that same 12-month date.
This guarantee is given by Australian Property Experts (ABN 27 631 995 572). It’s part of your buyers agency agreement with us, and it’s in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
